I have a 1999 f-350 with a 7.3 L Super Duty Diesel. After it warms up and i come to a stop the oil pressure guage drops to the floor, has a seizure and then bounces right back to where it should be. This sometimes stays on the floor long enough to make my oil light come on. Any anwsers? I dont think it is the oil pump, I do however think it is because the crankcase ventilation system has a problem. How is this crankcase ventilated and what components could be the possible suspects?

I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra and I noticed the check engine light came on and went to have it checked and they cannot read the codes.....it comes up nothing. When I went to put gasoline in my car (empty tank), it clicked several times as if it was full and then unless I pump VERY SLOWLY, the gasoline will spit back out of the tank. Can anyone tell me what this might be? Thank you so much.

Ok, i have an 89 plymouth voyager and the brakes on it are acting strange. The front right caliper wasn't releasing, so i got a new one and installed it. the same problem happened. i loosened the brakeline bolt from the caliper and it released. there is very little brake pressure at the rear wheel on the same side but the left side brakes are fine. is this the master cylinder or is the combo valve shot, or is there a combination of problems at hand? i have been driving the car like this since Jan. the brake pedal felt solid up until last week and then it went soft on me. there ar no fluid leaks anywhere that i can see but the whole system is pretty rusty. any ideas? |

Ask a Mechanic is about you getting a fair repair on your car and about me helping the DIy to carry out a job which they may wish to undertake for the first time. Group Tags
